Wall Street and the Making of the Subprime Disaster

This report presents a thorough analysis of the key role that investment banks played in the subprime market. Rather than focus on one piece of the complex subprime puzzle, it presents the whole picture, from the exotic loan structures on one end of the mortgage chain to the multi-million dollar Wall Street bonuses on the other. The report has been used by journalists at a wide range of media organizations as a background resource on Wall Street's involvement in the subprime market.

The report was completed in November 2007, and issued by NTIC, Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition and PUSH Buffalo as part of the Save the American Dream campaign.
